End of the Fireworks selling Season!

Well, the Fireworks season is over for us.  Mr. Sweetheart and I did pretty well as far as selling our butts off!  Literally I think because we both lost several pounds over the 10 days.  Even my Dad who helped a ton lost weight.  Seriously its one of the best parts of the job!

It got to where I actually woke up a few times in the night because I thought I was supposed to ring up a sale but in truth Im actually really going to miss it.  No, not the long hours, the achy body, or some the stress, but getting to meet new people, see them happy to buy fireworks and enjoy a job I love will be missed.  Am I a freak that Im kinda looking forward to selling Christmas trees?

Here is a video of my daughter Libby.  She was getting very creative with Torpedo Tubes - They are like poppers (those white things that pop on the ground when you throw them).  The tube pop alittle easier and louder in my opinion.  The neighbor kids and my kids all love them.

I do want to thank Fat City Fireworks, Rick, Crystal, and Laura for giving Otis and I the opportunity to work with them, Miss Megan and Todd for being the best workers EVER! and my kids who didnt burn the house down or completely trash the place while I worked long hours!  I know we are all a bit frazzeled but seriously it is the funnest job I have ever had.  I wish I could fit more Fireworks Holidays in during the year!

Now I need to go lay down and sleep for a few days, oh and cuddle with my husband!

My Fireworks Stand!

 This is my life for the next few days until the Fourth Of July!  I do love it tho - selling fireworks is a blast!  People get excited to celebrate the holidays and you meet a ton of interesting new people.  You also meet a few who just want to blow stuff up. LOL

I am posting a few photos of our stand from last year.  We start selling tomorrow so I hope to get some new pictures of the stand!  It makes for some long busy days but I wouldnt trade it for anything!  Plus last year I lost like 5 pounds!  Gotta LOVE that!

I hope to post again before the holiday is here but if I dont I want to wish every a safe and very fun Fourth of July!!

Fourth of July Toes and nothing else!

Some days just dont go as planned!  Yesterday was one of them for me.  It wasnt so bad in the fact that I did get the camper ready to go for our Fireworks stand and I as you can see above got my toenails painted.  I just didnt get the house as cleaned as I wanted to - so hopfully I will make up for it today.

Thing is, I had a whole blog that I was going to post with my Fourth of July crafts.  I was then going to post a photo of my toes painted with my nieces.  In my head it was going to be very cute.  I got my toes done and then went to work for a while.  And then my baby toe went rogue and took it out on the stool in the kitchen.  The toe then went from bad to worse.  I dont know for sure if it is broken but it for sure is swollen and purple.  Actually kind of red white and blue today so maybe it was just trying to get in on all the holiday excitement.

After that, not a whole lot got done.  Especially after it started to throb.  Oh well such is life!  My sweetheart did have to point out that I did injure my foot twice during fireworks season last year so maybe its for good luck?!

My Valentine's craft/present

Just wanted to share the Valentine's present I made for my Sweetheart.  I usually try to carve him alittle something to show him just how much I love him!  I made this to sit on his desk.  I just carved it out of a piece of wood we had out in the woodpile.  Shhh, but I used one of my old kitchen knives.  So I probably shouldnt do that.   oh - and he has already recieved it so it isnt a secret anymore - I'm terrible at waiting.

I guess this means I have time to make hime something else.  Plus I'm going to make something chocolate for my kids.
